Trouble Aligning Trailer Hitch Holes on a 2016 Nissan Quest

Question:
Purchased this hitch from an online retailer. Came packaged horribly. Was unable to install the top bolt on the passenger side. Would not line up - would not allow the washer or bolt to get past the small weld nut - see pictures. I suspected that somehow a used Curt hitch got sent to me as new - perhaps a counterfeit hitch? Anyway, returned it after a few frustrating hours trying to get Curt to understand the problem. Can you verify that the bolt will pass by the small weld nut to allow installation? Id really like to buy the Curt hitch but am worried about another wasted morning. If others have had that problem, please let me know. For instance, I would be helpful to know the hole spacing of the top holes so I can compare to my frame.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13078 is indeed a correct fit for your 2016 Nissan Quest. I have taken a look at the photo you attached and it looks like you are using the wrong set of holes. The trailer hitch will need to move back one set of holes which you can see in the attached photo. For reference, the two holes on the bracket are spaced 3.027" apart on center.
Please let me know if you still run into issues using the other set of bolt holes. I have attached an install video for you on a 2016 Nissan Quest that shows the correct holes you will need to use at around the 2:40 mark.
