Question:
I have an older style Demco Hijacker SL-16 Hitch and need to get brackets and rails to install. Which rails and install kit will be needed to attach the hitch to the bed of the truck? I have a 2013 Ram 2500 with a 6 1/2 foot bed. Thanks! *Picture of hitch is attached*

Thank you for your photo. My Demco contact confirmed that they no longer have installation bracket kits for your older SL-16 hitch model FWH34 to let you install it in your 2013 Ram 2500 with 6-1/2-foot bed. However, we can help you with a new slider hitch and new rail kit. All hitches and install kits for your truck appear on the linked page.
For a Demco hitch with 8-inches of travel and an above-bed rail kit you could use hitch # DM6076P-UL-16K along with base rail kit # DM8552015-71. If you want the most slider travel available you can instead use Demco's 18K Hijacker Autoslide hitch # DM8550034, which releases automatically when you make a sharp turn, and which gives you 14-inches of travel. This is nearly double the travel of your old hitch. This hitch installs with the same rail kit # DM8552015-71.
