Question:
I have an travel trailer that is 5 years old. The tire look in good condition but at what point should I replace them based on their age?

Expert Reply:
Normally 6 years is the max age you'll get out of a set of trailer tires. Typically trailer tires don't wear out and instead end up dry rotting to the point of needing replacement at 6 years. If the tires were kept out of the sun that typically will help prolong their life, but if yours look good at 5 years and are holding air you would be fine.
I attached a link to this page that has all of the wheel/tire covers we offer for trailers for you to check out as well.
