Recommendation for the 2019 1500 GMC Can this be used to allow mounting a Reese 5th wheel hitch?C16200

The Curt Universal Fifth Wheel Base Rails with Installation Kit - Carbide Black Finish # C16200 can be used on your 2019 GMC 1500, but it will require drilling into your vehicle frame which isn't a whole lot of fun. At this time they don't have the measurements for the rail locations in your truck bed when using this universal kit. I've attached a photo to assist if you go that route showing that when you put the rails so the Reese Hitch is directly over the rear axle, the rails should be 22 inches on center apart.

I recommend instead using the Demco Custom rail kit # DM8552034-71 which has custom brackets designed to work with holes already present in your truck frame. This will greatly reduce all the measurements to give you clarity of location for the base rails in your truck.
