There are a few things I would recommend checking that could be causing the No Trailer Connected error code on your Tekonsha P3 # 90195. First, you will want to check the vehicle and trailer side connector for corrosion, any corrosion in the connector could be causing a bad or weak connection. If corrosion is in the 7-way connectors, they will need to be replaced. For future use, I would recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, part # 11755, on electrical connections to prevent corrosion.
Then, I would recommend checking the blue wire at the brake controller and on or after the connector using a circuit tester, item # 40376. With the trailer disconnected, vehicle in power accessory mode and parking brake engaged, have someone engage manual brake slide on bottom of controller. While the manual brake slide is engaged, test the wiring for power using circuit tester after brake controller and at the connector at the 5 oclock position.
Next, you will want to inspect the trailer brakes. You will want to pull the brake assemblies apart and inspect the brake magnets for windings. If there are windings visible on the magnets, they are bad and will need to be replaced. Bad trailer magnets would make for an incomplete circuit, which could be the reason why you are getting the error signal.
I have linked an FAQ brake controllers and instructions for the Tekonsha P3 brake controller.
