Is There Bumper Trimming Involved to Install the Curt Hitch # 13414 on a 207 Jeep Commander

Question:

Will I need to cut section from current bumper and add the plastic trim Bezel? to install the hitch? To add wiring, will the Jeep computer need to th adjusted to recognize the wiring plug?

To install the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13414 on your 2007 Jeep Commander you will not need to trim or cut any section of your bumper or add any trim bezels. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out also.

You also would not need to reflash the PCM of your vehicle either once you installed a Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 118408. You would have to reflash the computer if you were trying to install the factory tow package wiring harness on your vehicle and it did not originally have this harness. But when you use an aftermarket harness like the # 118408 it is not required.
