What is the recommended oil cooler for a 2014 ram 1500. 3.6.

Expert Reply:
For your 2014 Ram 1500 I recommend using the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 as a direct oil cooler instead of a transmission fluid cooler. Another option is to use the Derale Combination Transmission/Engine Oil Cooler Core - 12-13/16" x 10-1/4" x 3/4" # D13322 which will give you the double function cooling.
The sandwich adapter kits like # D15405 you asked from are not compatible with your oil filter style. You can use just the cooler # D15851 from that kit if desired but you will need to tap into your oil lines at a different point due to that filter style.
