Y07353--Are the end pieces plastic?

The Accessory Bar for 40" Wide Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket # Y07353 has a piece of the assembly that is a composite plastic, however the part that actually attaches to the bottom of the bar is metal as is that adjustment screw.
