Could Replacement Cam Lock Cylinder for RVs # 295-000077 Fit on 1/8 inch Thick Door

Item # 295-000078 will this lock work on a door only 1/8 inch thick? The door is a sheet of metal 1/8 thick. I see 2 different backing plates. will this work for me?

Yes, the Replacement Cam Lock Cylinder for RVs # 295-000077 could install on a 1/8 thick door as long as the catch for the latch was placed properly so that when the lock was "locked" it was turning and grabbing it and not allowing it to partially open.
