How watertight is it?

There isn't a tonneau cover that will be completely water tight but the Pace Edwards SwitchBlade part # 311-SWC95A17 will be about as waterproof as one can be. The rails of the system have a really effective drain system that works to basically divert all water out of the truck bed and then the top cover does a really great job preventing leaks. But if you were in a torrential downpour you'd still most likely have some water in the bed of your truck.
