I have attached a few photos of the installation instructions for the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches part # BWRVK2503 which is a fit for your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 but unfortunately we have not yet had the chance to install this kit yet. We rely on customer's for our install videos which means we do not have them for all of our products.
However, if you take a look at the attached install video of Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50064-58 which is also a fit for your 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 you will get a very good ideal of how to install the above kit. The reason for this is because both kits will install using the same bolt holes as these are pre-drilled into the truck for this exact purpose.
Once you have either of the above kits installed you can then mate to it any 5th wheel hitch that mounts using industry standard base rails. I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3270 for 6-1/2' beds or part # BWRVK3255 for 8' beds. The Patriot is an excellent option for you because it has 3/4" thick dual locking jaws which will do a phenomenal job of reducing chucking. They are also made in the USA and come with a lifetime warranty. The only other thing you will need to compete your towing setup is an in-bed wiring harness like the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness part # 50-97-410.
