Solar Charging Smaller 12 Volt Batteries Like Lawn Mower and ATV

Question:
Since most of the smaller 12 volt batteries recommend charging at 1 to 1.5 amps, is there a chance it could charge to fast shorting the battery life?

The 2.5-Watt Solar Battery Charger # PTW2997 delivers 2.5 watts but has a maximum charging amperage that is so low it will not overcharge your battery or shorten the life of the battery but rather will give it a slow charge similar to a trickle charger.
