Can Erickson Ratchet Strap Connect Hooks On Both Ends of Strap and Tighten
Updated 02/22/2019 | Published 02/21/2019 >
Question:
Are you able to advise if it is safe to make a continuous loop with the ratchet straps by linking the Double-J-Hooks together by placing the hooks through the “triangular ring” of the other end? Or does this down rate the load capacity of the Double-J-Hooks?

You can connect the hook from the ratchet side of the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Strap # EM78627-MS to the hook of the strap side if you wanted and you will be able to basically tighten the strap around something as needed. It's hard to give a clear capacity for this as the strap would basically just be tightening to itself. It would still break at the same amount of stretch in the strap at 10,000 lbs but that doesn't translate perfectly to this application.
