Will Pop & Lock Interfere with Backup Camera on 2019 Honda Ridgeline
Updated 02/13/2019 | Published 02/12/2019 >
Question:
With the part number PAL 8600 do you continue to use the factory handle that has a back up camera built into it? Also what can be done to reduce the noise that these units produce?

Expert Reply:
The Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 that fits your 2019 Honda Ridgeline will not interfere with the backup camera on the truck and you will continue to use the same handel. This is not a replacement handle and the locking system installs in a manner that there won't be interference.
As for any noise there is nothing specifically designed to be used as a noise reducer with the Pop & Lock, and while they may make more noise than a tailgate without a power lock, the trade-off - added security and convenience - is well worth it to most people.
I have added a link to a video install of this lock on a '19 RIdgeline for you to check out as well as a link to the installation manual for you to take a look at.
