can the TH834 kayak carrier be used on this TracRac?

Yes, the Thule Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier w/Tie-Downs part # TH834 can be used with the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack part # TH43003XT-501 but you will also need to use the Watersports Adapter part # THXADAPT11. The reason you will need this adapter is because the crossbars are too large for the carrier to wrap around and the adapter kit allows them to mount via the channels.
