Question:

I would like to wire the four pin plug and change to 7pin round. I have the seven pin round receiver already installed on the truck. I have a white wire, a yellow wire, a single wire with brown and yellow sheathing and a single wire with green and brown. There is also a solid green wire. Please help!!!!

We have a kit that's designed specifically for upgrading a trailer's 4-way to a 7-way. For that you'd want the upgrade kit part # HS381-9000 (if you don't have something like this already.)

I attached a chart that details how this normally wires to a trailer for you to check out as well. In your situation the two wires with brown (and another color) are for the running light circuit but the rest SHOULD match color for color.
