Recommended Tire Cables for a 2014 Dodge Challenger

Published 02/09/2019

Question:

This is my first time ever driving in snow since I moved from California to Portland. I now realized that my car is RWD and I have no idea what I’m doing with snow chains. Can I get away with just two and if so, which tires do they go on? This whole “driving tires” and such makes zero sense to the novice. Just need to know which tires they go on. Thank you!

Yes, the number of tires chains/cables that you need for your 2014 Dodge Challenger is two. These will need to be placed on the rear two wheels. They say to install tire chains/cables on the drive axle. The drive axle on a RWD vehicle is in the rear hence rear wheel drive (RWD).

The best option we have for you that will not void your warranty is the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains part # TC729DC which will fit models with both the 235/55-18 and 245/45-20 tires. These cables have a diagonal pattern for improved traction and ride quality when compared to ladder style. They also come with adjusters to help keep the cables center on the wheel.

I have attached a review video for you.
