Question:
I have a 2002 Chevy express that has tires LT 245/75R16. When I put my new chains on there are two or three links lose after tightening with cams. I don’t think the links will damage the van, however, the instructions on chain bag says I need to secure these extra links to prevent damage. How is this done without removing links with extra purchased equipment that you mentioned in your first reply.

Expert Reply:
Titan recommends removing excessive links from their chains to prevent damage like you mentioned. There wouldn't be a reliable way to clip them out of the way either as there would be a chance it would come undone and beat up your vehicle. We have a tool that's designed to cut off the links with the part # TCRP2S.
