Torque Specs for Roadmaster Bushing Kit # RM-4139-300

Question:

Greetings - I am installing the polyurethane Bushinhg kit for the 2007 Ford F-53 with a 1-3/8” Sway Bar. Can you provide the Torque Specifications? They are not listed in the instructions.

I spoke with my contact at Roadmaster regarding any torque specs when installing the Bushing Kit # RM-4139-300 that you referenced. He said that for the bushings themselves there isn't a recommended torque spec because you really just want to tighten them enough so that the bushing is being squeezed a bit. Overtightening can cause damage so you want to be careful.

For the saddle brackets it will depend on what size bolt you are using. For a 10mm bolt they recommend 37 foot pounds of torque and for a 12mm bolt they recommend 65 foot pounds.
