How Does Awning Rail Normally Install on RV when Installing Slide Topper

Question:

I ordered a Solara Slide Topper for my 2018 Passport RB23. I reviewed the YouTube video and I think I can do the installation. However I’m a little nervous about installing the braquit that accepts the fabric to the trailer. Specifically putting the screws into the trailer. Any pointers to calm my nurses. :

In general the recommended way to install the awning rail is to use aluminum rivets. You'll need to go with rivets that match the hole diameter of the included rail of the # LCV000165061 and are a bit longer than needed so that you get more support on the blind side of the wall. Basically you'll need to line up where you want the rail to install, drill the needed holes for the rivets, and then use the rivet gun to secure the rail in place.
