Recommended Replacement for Jensen AWM970 Stereo in Itasca Reyo
Published 01/04/2019 >
Question:
My Jensen 970 stereo in my Itasca Reyo will not play DVD, or USB plug in. The unit just states loading and that is it. The AM and FM work normally. Does the JWM60A fit in the hole and are the connections for inputs and outputs in the back the same as the 970 so that I would just swap one for another? Would it cost more to fix the 970 than getting a new radio? Thank you

I'm not quite sure what is going on with the DVD end of things on your AWM970 Jensen stereo but I was able to find some info about troubleshooting the USB side of things (basically just compatibility issues). Since the DVD player isn't working properly I do believe that it would be better just to replace the whole unit as opposed to repairing the current one. If you would rather try to fix your current one though you can try contacting an electronics specialist to get a quote.
When it comes to the fitment we had a previous answer sent in that said their 970 measured 9-1/4" wide x 6-1/8" high x 8" deep. Since the Jensen Stereo # JWM60A you referenced measures 9" wide x 6" high x 5-1/2" deep (see attached) I believe it should fit just fine.
From the linked wiring diagrams it looks like the 60A has a few more connections that the 970 did but you should be able to just splice them in per function.
