Updated 12/27/2018 | Published 12/23/2018 >
Question:
If you have 12V to the seven wire trailer plug on the vehicle brake wire and plug a trailer in without having the controller plugged will the trailer brakes be fully applied? Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
If you have 12 volts present on the brake output circuit of a 7-way (5:00 pin) and you connect a trailer with brakes the brakes should lock up all the way.
