How to Determine if 2002 Ford Ranger Has Torsion or Coil Spring Suspension

Would my 2002 Ford Ranger xl 2wheel drive have torsion bar on it or coils

I am not sure what exactly you have on your 2002 Ford Ranger but if you look behind one of your front wheels you should be able to easily determine if you have coil springs or not. If you check out the attached picture of the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 483-1 being installed on a 2003 Ford Ranger you can see the coil springs. If you don't have the coil springs then you have a torsion bar.
