I will be installing the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor Item # RM-9530. Do you have a recommendation on the best place I could connect the 12V power supply, and ground wire to on a 2018 F150

The cold side of the brake light switch on your 2018 Ford F-150 should be a purple/white wire but I really encourage you to test it with a circuit tester.

The best way to power the Roadmaster Universal Brake Monitor part # RM-9530 would be to attach it directly to the vehicle's 12 volt battery. However, this requires routing the wire through the firewall which is not always the easiest method so Roadmaster provides a fuse tap for you. There is an interior fuse panel on the passenger side of your 2018 Ford F-150 that you can use the fuse tap on. However, in order to find out which circuit remains active while the vehicle is in tow mode you would need to test them with a circuit tester. The monitor only draws 2 amps max so power consumption won't be an issue. There should also be multiple ground studs in the footwell area but as we have not physically installed this device on an 2018 F-150, I do not have exact locations unfortunately.
