Question:

I am considering buying a BAK x2 revolver cover for my truck. What is the distance between the bed of the truck with a factory plastic liner and the bottom of the cover? If this cover doesnt work what other secure cover would you recommend. I am contemplating buying a Honda 3000 watt generator.

The BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover will sit about 1-1/2" to 1-3/4" below the bed rail. According to my research, the 2017 Ford F-150 has bedsides which are 21-1/2" tall which means that you will have around 19-3/4" to 20" of clearance. I found the Honda EU3000iS Generator to be 22" tall so if this is the one you have then the tonneau cover cannot be laid flat with the generator in the truck bed. The plastic bed liner will also reduce clearance by about 1/4" or so but I don't have any exact measurements on this.

The best option I have for you is to place the generator on a cargo tray like the TorkLift Lock and Load Maximum Security Cargo Tray part # TLA7752. I have attached a review video for you as well.
