Question:
I purchased a Prodigy p2 brake controller and I would like to instal it into my 2011 Tundra. The Tundra came equipped with a tow package. I was given a trailer brake jumper pigtail harness 82132-0c010 that connects to a factory harness via quick disconnect plug/port. The pig tail has 5 wires and came with an illustration that says: 1. Black Red: Fused trailer brake controlled battery feed 2. Green: Headlamp switch to vehicle trail lamps 3. Green/white: Vehicle stop lamp switch to brake controller input 4. Brown: Trailer ground 5. Red: Trailer electric brake feed from brake controller output Can you please tell me what color wires from this pig tail connect to what color wires on the Prodigy P2 Than you

I will be happy to help you get your Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller, # 90885, connected. Based on the information you have given for the pig tail, you will make the following connections to the brake controller:
Black Red on pig tail goes to black on brake controller (power to brake controller)
Green is not used.
Green/white on pig tail goes to red on brake controller (In from brake switch)
Brown on pig tail goes to brake controller white (ground)
Red on pig tail goes to brake controller blue (output to trailer brakes)
The Green wire that is not used can be taped up and stowed out of the way. It is for an illumination feature that is not used by the brake controller. Also, the factory ground on the 2011 Toyota Tundra may give you some problems. I recommend grounding the brake controller white wire to a bare metal surface under the dash for a more substantial ground.
I have included a link to the installation details for the P2 for you.
