RV Water Heater Bypass Hose Lengths For Winterization

Question:
Camco water heater bypass kit 35953 has an 8inch hose. Kit 35963 has a 12inch hose. Our mechanic wants a 10inch hose. Searching the internet, I can find 8, 12, 20inch and longer. Cannot find a 10inch anywhere. Does one exist?

I reached out to my contact at Camco and they only make the 8 inch and 12 inch hoses. Valterra is the other manufacturer we carry that has those bypass hoses and they are 8-1/2 inches end to end or 12-13/4 inches according to my contact at Valterra. These are the more standard sizes for the 6 gallon and 10 gallon water heaters.
I recommend going with the 12 inch hose found in the Camco RV Winterization Bypass Kit w/ 12" Hose # CAM35963 as that extra length will not be an issue when bypassing your hot water heater.
