Question:
Do I need a special drawbar for this hitch? My Reese drawbar will not go far enough into the receiver to the pin. Can I use another brand/type of drawbar?

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24815, is a Class I trailer hitch. Only Class I accessories will fit. The reason is that Class I trailer hitches have a built in stop that will only allow Class I accessories so you do not accidentally overload the hitch. You can see this stop in the 4th picture on the product page.
Also, with any Class I or II trailer hitch, you must use the ball mount recommended by the trailer hitch manufacturer otherwise you will void the warranty. The correct ball mount for this hitch is # 3593, and it should be used in the rise position only.
I have included a link to an FAQ article on the various hitch classes.
