The Prodigy P2 # 90885 will not show a display all the time, but there is an ever so slight draw on the battery at all times. This extremely small draw is simply to allow your settings to remain as your controller goes into sleep mode to function more efficiently. The display shuts down after about 15 minutes and the small draw is similar to the clock in your vehicle. It draws power, but would take months of sitting without any start or recharge to drain your battery to any noticeable level.
