The recommended load bar length for your 2011 Subaru Forester are the 47 inch Thule WingBar # TH711220 (Black) OR # TH711200 (Silver) assuming your Forester has factory installed raised side rails that run front to back; you would need the Evo Raised Rail Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710401 to install these on your '11 Forester.
Longer crossbars will stick out on the sides of your Forester and people could potentially bump their heads on bars that stick out that far so I recommend sticking with the 47 inch bars.
