Question:
I have a 1999 f250 diesel with the tow package and I currently have a 5th wheel wire harness here: HM40157 Can I run the Hopkins part number hm50002 backup camera and alarm with the 5th wheel harness or will I have to remove that to use the camera plug in etc? Respectfully

Expert Reply:
With the Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Plug # HM40157 connected to your 1999 Ford F-250, you can still run the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System # HM50002 without additional splicing. You will not need to remove one to connect the other. They can be connected at the same time. I do recommend using dielectric grease # 11755 to ensure you have the best possible connection.
When we install parts like this together we will use zip ties like # DW05727-10 for peace of mind that the connections will hold together correctly.
