Question:
Hi I have a 2012 Edge and my jetski trailer lights work only when the door is open and they shut off when the inside lamp goes off. I do not have any break, signals or running lights working on the trailer. The lights all work when door opens and even when vehicle is shut off. Please help!?

It sounds like you do not have the 12 volt power supply installed correctly. The 12 volt power supply like the one on the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56120 which is a fit for your 2012 Ford Edge will need to be ran directly to the battery with the included 10 amp fuse placed 6" from the positive terminal. You cannot use any other power source for the wiring harness and it sounds like you may have it tied into an interior lighting circuit which is why the lights only work when the doors are open.
If you need help running the power wire I have attached a help article on how to do so.
