The photo did not come through but it sounds like you are trying to install a brake controller on your 1994 Dodge Ram 1500. If this is the case then it will need to be hardwired as there is not a plug in adapter available for your vehicle. What type of trailer connector do you have on your Ram? If it is a 7-way then all you need to install a brake controller is the Wiring Kit part # 5506. However, if you only have a 4-way trailer connector then you will want to use the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7.
If you are also looking for a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller due to its integrated safeguards that protect both the vehicle/trailer, diagnostic reports to detect faults, and an easy to read/use LED display.
I have attached a sample install video for you as well.
