Question:
I have a 2007 Nissano Murano SE with only a hitch and no existing wiring. I will be pulling a 2002 KZ Coyote 16c with a weight of around 2800lbs and has a 7way round connection. Do I need to T in a 4 way flat harness then convert it to 7 way round? Do I need a brake controller? What parts do I need and how difficult is the install? Thank you for any help.

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one) installed on your 2007 Nissan Murano. For that you would want the # C49KR which is a confirmed fit and would work well.
Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.
If you do have trailer brakes, you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best-selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. I attached an install video that shows a controller installed in a 2009 Murano similar to yours to walk you through the process. It's not a difficult ordeal at all.
