The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter part # CAB-C5G for long beds or part # CAB-C5GX1216 for short beds is a great adapter that is very popular. It has a cushion interior which works to reduce vibrations that in turn decreases wear and tear of the trailer/vehicle.
However, there are other options out there which may be better for you. If you can tell me what gooseneck hitch you have in your 2000 Ford F-350 I would be able to info you as to what these options are. For example, if you have Draw-Tite Hide-A-Goose you can use the Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # 9480 which is a much better option in my opinion.
