Is the car just too low for a hitch?

For your 2008 Mercedes Benz R320 CDI we have the Curt hitch part # C13103 as a confirmed fit. This will fit your vehicle will and will not sit too low at all. When we installed this hitch on a similar 2006 MB we found that from the top of the hitch opening down to the ground measured 10-1/2 inches.
