Can 1-1/4 inch Factory Hitch of 2016 Mercedes Benz GLC300 be Replaced with 2 inch Hitch

Question:

2016 Mercedes GLC 300 4matic: The car was preordered with a trailer hitch with the lighting. It came with a 1-1/4inch hitch and I would like to change it to a 2inch hitch. Would I have to remove lights/bumpers/make modifications/cuts to shrouding as if a first time install a in order to install your 2inch Curt hitch? Or can I just unbolt the existing one and install your product? As I said, the wiring was factory installed. Thanks

To install the Curt Class III hitch part # C13290 on your 2016 Mercedes GLC 300 will require removing the rear bumper beam and rear fascia. Most likely any modifications have already been made so you should be fine in that regard. The install is a bit more in-depth that most hitch installs but I attached an install video that shows the whole process for you to check out.
