The cross cables on the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, # PW2045C, are clamped to the side cables with steel fasteners that will not move on the side cables. This ensures that the cables will remain evenly spaced when traveling with the chains installed on tires. The cross cables are not welded to the side cables. They are clamped to the side cables, similar to the way a ferrule is clamped to a safety cable in a garage door application. I produced a short video showing how the cables are put together, see link.

To determine the correct chains for your vehicle tire size, you can use our Snow Chains fit guide, see link, and put in your vehicle, year, make and model, or put in your tire size.
