Question:
I have a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 V6 with the towing package. I recently purchased a receiver hitch and wiring harness, # 118412, from your company and have installed it. The wiring harness I installed contained 4 wires and my camping trailer requires 7 and the addition of a brake controller. Any advice on what type of equipment-adapters I will need.

All that you need to complete your installation is a brake controller and an installation kit and a 4-Way wiring harness which you already have. The Tekonsha Prodigy P2, # 90885 is a great unit, and I would highly recommend it. The Electric Brake controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7, contains everything needed to install your controller, including the 7way connector with mounting bracket, wire, connectors, circuit breakers, even the zip ties!
We have detailed instructions for installation of this kit and a video installation for you to review. The video is on a different vehicle but the installation process will be the same.
