Can the Curt # C13309 Trailer Hitch be Installed on a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder with Liftgate Sensors

Question:

Can a towing hitch be installed on a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder that has the kick sensors lift gate? Will it interfere with the lift gate sensor? Does the bumper have to be cut? Do you have a pic? Would it be difficult to do?

Yes, you can install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13309 on your 2018 Nissan Pathfinder even though it has the kick liftgate sensors. The only potential difference is that you may just have to kick to the left or right of the receiver instead of just waving your foot beneath the bumper.

There is some minor fascia trimming that needs to take place and the driver side tow hook will need to be removed to install the trailer hitch, but Curt has only rated the install a 5 out of 10 for difficulty with the average installation only taking about 50 minutes.

We do not have a picture or a video of this trailer hitch being installed but I do have the instructions linked for you to check out as well as an installation video of the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76031 on a 2017 Pathfinder that you can reference, as the installations are very similar.
