Can CTEK Charger be Left on Battery for Indefinite Period of Time
Published 07/26/2018 >
Question:
Hi there, I was told by expert to give it more time for charging my battery. I extended charging my battery and now is 28 days non stop charging it. The Ctek showing 6 orange lights and the #7 and #8 are solid green lights. The first few days up to #6 stage the Ctek charger was hot and after the #7 and #8 lights came on the charger is not hot any more. My question is if I can keep charging any longer or not? Is it safe for my Ctek MUS 4.3 charger? Thank you,

The great thing about CTEK chargers like the CTEK MULTI US 12-Volt Universal Battery Charger w/ Pulse Maintenance # CTEK56353 is that you can basically leave them on all the time and not worry about anything bad happening to the battery or the charger. The charger is smart enough that it can be left on a battery for an indefinite amount of time and it will always make the right choice on whether to "float" or "pulse" to keep the battery in it's best shape.
In steps 7 and 8 the charger isn't working very hard so it wouldn't get as warm as the previous steps. Your charger is totally safe to keep using. I have this same charger and leave it on for months at a time without issue.
