Question:
I currently have a curt 56326 wiring harness/7way plug socket installed on my 2018 GMC Acadia. If I unplug the harness leading to the 7 way Socket on the Curt 56326 can I plug the harness into the Hopkins HM40975 to provide me the option of either the 7 way or 4 way trailer plugs? In other words are Curt part # 56326 and Hopkins HM40975 compatible with each other? Thank You!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56326 consists of a harness with a round U.S. Car connector on the end that connects to the included 7-way socket. Since this is a standardized connector, yes, you can use this Curt harness with the Hopkins combination 7-way/4-pole socket item # HM40975 so that you have both formats of trailer connector active on your Acadia.
