Recommended Air Springs for 2006 Ford F-350 with B&W Gooseneck Hitch Installed

Updated 07/16/2018 | Published 07/14/2018

Question:

Looking for a recommendation for air springs on my 2006 F350 CCLB 6.0L Powerstroke with BandW Gooseneck turn over ball. I will be pulling a Gooseneck with a total combined weight trailer and cargo of up to 21,000 lbs. I think I’m leaning toward the Air Lift 5,000 but without the internal jounce bumper. I also like the ability to upgrade to stainless lines and will probably add a compressor, tank etc. in the near future. If at all possibleI would also like to add a capability for auxiliary air from the compressor and tank to fill tires etc. if that is possible with any of the systems. Any recommendation?

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57291 that you referenced are confirmed to fit your 2006 Ford F-350, however they are only compatible with the older B&W Turnoverball hitches 1105 or 1199R. If this is what you have installed on your truck, this system will work perfectly.

The air springs feature a 5,000 pound load-leveling capacity and they will do a really nice job of enhancing the rear suspension of your F-350 to better handle the weight of your trailer and cargo.

For a heavy-duty compressor system that includes a support line and reserve tank, I recommend the Air Lift QuickShot # AL25572. This will allow you to monitor and adjust the air springs with an in-cab controller. The dual-path system lets you adjust the bags for front-to-back and side-to-side leveling.

The air spring kit can also be upgraded to stainless steel air lines by adding the Upgrade Kit # AL52301.
