Mopar wiring harness 68321424AB is used if you experience shaking or bouncing of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee when you are flat towing it. I am not sure what exactly it does or why using this harness solves those issues but that is its purpose. It has something to do with the steering wheel lock.

To flat tow your 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk you will also need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.

Base plates # RM-521451-4 (excludes models with active air shutters)
Tow bar # RM-522 (non-binding rated for 6,000 pounds)
Safety cables # RM-645 (straight cables fit in safety cable channels on tow bar)
Lighting # RM-15267 (since the vehicle has combined turn signals and brake lights only 4 diodes are needed)

You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the tow bar level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
