Brake Controller Display Shows .C Intermittently

Question:
The .c goes on and off while connected to the trailer. Is this normal?

Trailer brake controllers such as the P2 # 90885 display symbol .C when they detect the electric brake circuit on the connected trailer and the boost feature is NOT engaged. If that symbol changes to .C. that indicates that the controller senses the trailer brake circuit but the boost feature is now engaged. The controller has a switch (see photo please) that selects the boost level. Check to make sure the button is not stuck. You can try pressing it a few times to go thru the boost levels to see if this helps.
