Does Mighty Cord Adapter # A10-3050DBK Split the Incoming Hot Pole from the 30A Supply?

Question:
My 50A system splits an incoming 240V 50A supply into two 120V circuits. Each is powered by one of the incoming hot leads from the 50A, 240V source. This 30A adapter has 3 poles. hot, neutral and ground. Does the adapter split that incoming hot lead to supply both hot leads on the 50A female connector?
