There is a great roof rack option from Rhino Rack that will fit the mounting holes on your 2018 Chevy Equinox with a naked roof.
The Rhino Rack consists of Crossbars # RRVA118B-2, RCL Legs for Rhino-Rack Crossbars # RRRCL4 and Custom RCP Fit Kit # RRRCP62-BK.
This rack has aero crossbars with rubberized Vortex strips which will give you a very quiet ride; the bars also have channels which allow you to add channel-mounted accessories, and measure 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall so it will work with many clamp-on accessories as well.
The crossbars do come with plastic lock cores for security, though you can add Metal Locking Endcaps # RRVA-LEC4 to replace those if you wanted additional security.
