Question:

I believe I need a motor for my landing gear on Venture or LCI will the 6500lb rated LG-196308 be a direct fit and work better than the original? Mine is have trouble going up and causing the clutch to ratchet.

The Replacement Motor part # LG-196308 will be a direct fit for Stromberg Carlson, Venture, and Lippert (LCI) electric landing gear sets. It uses a direct drive system which will reduce strain on your jack and eliminate the need for a clutch.

It is not uncommon for landing gear motors to wear out over time with frequent use as they are after all, just an electric motor. However, the reduced stress from the direct drive system will help to improve it's longevity. If you also need the extend/retract switch to go along with the motor than you can use the Replacement Switch part # LG-145236.
