Question:
We have a 2016 Coachman Freelander Micro. We re thinking of adding a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier and getting a motorcycle to get around easier once set up at a campground. I have been looking at roadbikes weighing around 400-450 lbs. The motorhome came with a 1 1/4 hitch receiver. I realize I would have to replace that with a 2 inch receiver to do this, but other than that, do you see any issues and what carrier would you recommend?

We do have what you need to carry a motorcycle on the back of your motorhome but first I recommend finding out if the RV rated that kind of tongue weight. From my research your 2016 Coachman Freelander Micro only has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds which means its tongue weight should be no more than 300 pounds. You said you're going to change out the hitch receiver that doesn't necessarily increase a vehicle's capacity since there are other factors, like the chassis, that come into play.
If you find you can carry a bike that heavy, or find a bike that's light enough to carry, I recommend using the Ultra-Fab carrier, part # UF48-979033. It's 80 inches long with a 39 inch long ramp to make it easier to load the motorcycle.
For a hitch I recommend either Curt # C13701 or # C13702. The difference is the former has a 2 inch drop. They're universal hitchs that fits frames from 18 to 51 inches wide so you need to make sure they'll work on your RV first. They're the most universal hitches for RV's that we carry with the tongue weight capacity you're looking for.
