Question:
I have a 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The suspension without a load is incredibly rigid creating a very rough ride when riding over even the slightest bump. Is there anything I can do to create a smoother ride while not towing or carrying a load?

Trucks like yours that have suspension designed for heavy towing loads have the unfortunate side effect of being feeling pretty rough over bumps when not loaded. The easiest solution is to add weight in the bed of the truck which allows the suspension to sit deeper in it's stroke and not top out every time you hit a bump which is what the roughness comes from.
Heavier truck bed mats usually do a great job for this. For that we have the part # 50-6165 for if you have an 8 foot bed or part # 50-6145 for if you have a short bed.
